Teething remedy warning

Please review the following article for information about the recent news regarding over the counter teething remedies.

Effective May 14, 2018 our physicians are no longer able to round on newborn babies at the hospitals.  You and your baby will be seen by a hospital clinician and then we will see you for your baby’s first newborn visit at the office.

Patient-Centered Medical Home

Ballard Pediatric Clinic has achieved national recognition as a Patient-Centered Medical Home. This means we are constantly striving to improve our procedures and processes in order to provide the best and highest quality care to your child. Through this work we are monitoring data and using data to measure and improve outcomes. Some of the data we look at are immunization rates, medication management, patient satisfaction, and more. We’d like to share some of our successes with you:

*91% of our 13 year-olds are up-to-date on both Tdap (Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis) and MCV4 (Meningitis) vaccines.

*We are reducing unnecessary antibiotic use for the treatment of pharyngitis (sore throat). As a result, 98% of patients who were prescribed an antibiotic for pharyngitis had a strep test performed to ensure antibiotics were indicated.

*On our patient experience survey, 95% of families surveyed reported that our “providers explained things understandably” and 96% reported that our “providers showed respect for what the patient said”. Thank you to those families who have participated in our survey. We truly value your feedback!

Holiday Donation Drive

Ballard Pediatric Clinic is proud to be a donation site this holiday season for Mary’s Place.

Mary’s Place is an agency that provides a welcoming environment where homeless women, children and families receive day and night shelter, nourishment, resources, healing and hope to help them find permanent housing.

Please bring your unwrapped donation to our office by December 13th.
